Below is some great tips from Sandy a professional pet trainer who has worked with us on our pet problems. Below is a 3 step article she has sent to us on getting your puppy ready for crate training. I hope this helps you while we are super grateful for you being a part of this amazing launch.
Crate Training For New Puppies…
Dogs whether they are puppies or adult dogs, are very comfortable with crates. This is due to the fact that they are den animals.
Below is a quick step by step guide on training your puppy using a crate so you can avoid having future pet stains on your floors.
Step 1: Go ahead place the puppy in the crate gently.
Don’t throw them in the crate and walk away. You will want to stick around and show the puppy that you are with them.
When inside of the cage… this is a great opportunity to gently play with the puppy in the crate. Be sure the puppy has chew toys in the crate and what you will want to do is hold the chew toy through the crate while the puppy plays with the toy.
Never throw the puppy in the crate and walk away… stick around and let your pet know that you are around.
Finally when the puppy is calm you can go ahead and walk away. You will want to keep the puppy alone for 30 minutes if possible. The purpose is to allow the puppy to moan and wine when they are alone so you can train them to be calm in the crate when you are not around… which brings us to step 2.
Step 2: Let the puppy out when they calmed down… only when they have wined themselves to silence.
Now this is a crucial step and be ready for moaning and wining. Don’t give in… if you do you are up for some very long nights. Be sure ignore the puppy moans and NEVER let the pup out when they are rambunctious.
After a few minutes or hours… depending on your pups energy level. The pup should quiet down. This is when you move to step 3.
Step 3: Once the pup is settled down… Reward them…
After all the wining and crying… give them water. They will nine times out of ten be thirsty. So be sure to give them water.
Take pup out of crate and hold them, let them relax in your arms or lap in the cradle position if possible. Let them know everything fine and show them your are around by stroking and petting them gently.
Once the pup becomes calmer, then put the pup in lying down position on the floor.
Remember you were previously holding the pup, once the puppy is calm you will gently place them on the floor.
You are trying to reassure the pup that you are with them and still here for them.
Once the puppy is relaxed… go back and place them in crate.
Keep petting and praise them. Let them know you are around and praise them while they are in the crate.
While closing the crate talk to the puppy in the crate softly. This adds security and additional tranquility.
Stay with the pup a little bit longer to let them know you are still around.
Once the pup is totally relaxed go ahead and leave.
This is the best training for getting your pets comfortable with crates. In summary it is a three step process that really is about rewarding good behavior and letting your pet know that you are around.

Umm.. you of course!
I want to introduce you to Tammy, she was on a panel of our initial testing group
of Stainerizer. But this is what was amazing about this story. We were expecting to hear great things about the product… instead I felt like more a motivational speaker.
Let me explain…
Tammy has actually a really great job, but simply in my opinion works way to much.
In fact, she does the grind from about 7 to 7.
We met Tammy because she is in charge of product marketing for some very large companies. Because we already went through some other products with her that were really successful, she had no problem to give Stainerizer a run.
Okay, now this is where the motivational thing I was talking about comes into play.
Can you believe she has 1 dog (Elmo) and 2 siamese cats (Francine and Sheila). Yep… quite a crew, she told me these were her babies and like most babies things can get pretty messy. As they have been messy babies for over 6 years (That’s six years of pet stain cleaning).
Actually, For about 6 years she had been literally taking care of her babies(Elmo, Francine, and Sheila) and always about once out of every 2 weeks she gets something that happens to ruin the carpet.
She told me mostly from Elmo her Jack Russel. Now, remember how I told you she worked from 7 to 7… Yeah, this can get really painful when you come home from work to see the pee stains on the carpet AND EVEN HER SHOES… she blurted out to me.
Tammy was having a hard time to come home every other day to smell and see the urine stains from Elmo. But there was one thing she told me that I am not sure if I believe it…
Pet Odors Affecting Your Well Being…
She actually told me that during the last couple of years when her pet stains were bundling up. She was so tired of scrubbing after work, she kind of just gave up and threw the old paper towel stepped on it with the sole of her Nine West designer shoes for work and just forgot about it.
This really affected her daily life and energy, she told me.
